The conflict in Ukraine has displaced and orphaned many children from their homes, forcing them to seek refuge with friends, family and shelters in neighbouring countries.
Adults alone facing this crisis would find it an insurmountable task, let alone young children that struggle to understand why someone would attack their country and force them to flee.
We have started an initiative amongst UK school children to send small boxes containing stationery, sweets and personal letters to as many displaced and orphaned children as we can.
Our aim is to give these children hope and to show them that no matter where they might end up or where they might be in this world that humanity is ultimately a force for good and that people even those that might live a thousand miles away are willing to open their hearts and homes to aid and support those who are in need.
In parallel, we kindly ask parents to make financial donations to SOS Children Villages UK for their Ukraine Emergency Relief Program.

FOR SCHOOLS
Children for Children initiative was first embraced by Francis Holland School in London, where all girls from the junior school will participate in this activity on Thursday 28th of March, coordinated by their teachers, and supported by parent volunteers. For this specific event, all items for the gift boxes were kindly sponsored by Blue Almond. Children for Children initiative collects gift boxes from school and hands them to Ukrainian refugee children arriving in Poland and UK.
We are inviting other schools to join this project.
